LEED Platinum Award at Athens College Kindergarten
We are proud to anounce that the Hellenic-American Educational Foundation’s “Ioannis M. Karras” Kindergarten was awarded as the first LEED Platinum building in Greece!
The Kindergarten – 2,900 square meters in area with an underground parking area of 150 cars –was designed by Alexandros K Samaras on bioclimatic principles and serves as a paragon of sustainable architecture.
Our MEP design included geothermal energy heat pumps, sollar collectrors for hot water and heating supplement, rainwater harvesting and the installation of a sofisticated light management system.
